THE ASSIGNMENT

The project and its purpose.

I developed OwnersDepot as a practical editorial resource for Canadian homeowners planning maintenance, improvements and conversations with contractors. The design combines an approachable publication with tools that help a reader prepare a project brief.

02

THE SOLUTION

What I designed and implemented.

I implemented the approved newspaper-style direction as a responsive static portal: a black-and-yellow masthead, asymmetric editorial layout, topic navigation, searchable guides and a browser-local project planner. The planner keeps working notes on the reader’s device and can export a text brief.

03

THE OUTCOME

Homeowner publication launched

The editorial website is publicly available at ownersdepot.ca. The checked production homepage matches the approved newspaper-style presentation and includes the guide and project-planning routes. The planner is a local preparation tool; contractor delivery and other external integrations are separate work.

WORK COMPLETED

What the website includes.

  • Responsive newspaper-style interface
  • Structured home-improvement guide library
  • Topic, format and search interfaces
  • Browser-local project planner and text export
  • Original editorial illustration assets

Verified project updates

What changed, why and what was verified

Custom-domain publication verified

What changed
I published the homeowner portal on its own domain.
Why it matters
Give readers a direct route to the guide library and local project planner.
Verified result
The production homepage responds over HTTPS and matches the approved newspaper-style presentation.

Current rollout boundaries

The implementation and the next stage

  • Validate external integrations through their own release checks before adding them to completed work.
